I was told that nortons antivirus is not compatible with windows xp? Is this true? I was told it can make your computer run slow. I have the nortons security suite.

a while back i started delete programs the next thing i notice my CD -DVD player stop working
so then i tried to restore laptop bot nothing happen
then i tried Toshiba's diagnostic test everything past but the CD DVD player and floppy failed

I have a dell optiplex. I am trying add a fujitsu 6 gig hard drive as a second hard drive. I am not a omputer wiz, so I need some help. I have the fujitsu hooked up to the mother board. I am not sure if I have the jumper hooked up proper on the fujitsu. I also was told that I have to make sure the main hard drive is set up as the master. It has not jumper config. I am also told that i must make sure the ICP or ICQ or what ever is possiblly disabled. I am clueless on moat of this other that what the jumper cinfig is and how i have it hooked up. Can anybody help.

There is a pinhole on the back of the unit, to reset it. If i push it, what can i expect to happen? How do i reinstall it or whatever. What will happen to a lap top that was connected to it before? Will the Laptop work with no more adjustments or is there something else that will have to be done on the laptop so that it will work with the reset router? This is all wireless BTW.

Is anyone having this same problem? I think someone may have broken into my email. I try to reset my password as I am having password problems. It asks me for my date of birth and zip code which I am inputting but I am getting blocked out. I haven't ever bought just a monitor, and I'm finally ready to get rid this old Hewlett Packard model that came with my modem/ tower from '97 that is long gone. Am I missing something about the new flat screen computer monitors that they don't readily come with audio or speakers? I listen to stuff on the Web all the time, so I can't understand why this doesn't seem important on the monitors. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong ones. Please catch me up to speed. Thank you.

I have a compaq computer and the cd rom has stopped working. So I was wondering if i could take a cd rom out of a packard bell computer and put it in place of my compaq cd rom.
