i have an hp pavillion dv5215us and i heard there is a way to play dvd's from other than us region 1. anyone know if it is possible and if so do i need to change any settings?

Basically when i open safari and go on www.yahoo.com i type something i want to search in the search bar. Every time i search for something, the words i typed are saved. How do i take away this feature and delete the saved words.

They're stored using iTunes and will be erased off of my iPod if my hard drive is erased. I have to though, because in my "Temporary Internet Files" I have a virus. I have tried everything to delete the virus manually, but no luck. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't have over 200 c.d.'s stored on it. Is there a cord I can use to transfer files between two computers or a mass mp3 storage site online I could work with? I have tried transferring the files between computers using a USB memory stick, but it can only transfer a couple songs at a time, and this would take hours or even days by hand, as there is small storage space available. My computer is starting to function a lot slower, so I must act fast and would really appreciate any help whatsoever, as I do not want to lose my files either. I am a music fanatic.

I'm currently with AOL. I know - bad news. BUT, it's cheap ($17/month) and the security (virus defense, pop-up blocks) is good. However, my upstairs neighbor has Comcast high-speed. I was told I could get a router on my PC and use their connection upstairs (for free or go halves with them). However I have two concerns:How good would my connection be, and how would the security be?

Office Outlook 2003. When Outlook is checking for mail, I can see the progress in the 'inbox' but some of the e-mails will show very briefly and then disappear from the inbox list never to be seen again. What is happening and how to correct this. I have not any virus problems or spyware issues.

just finished a 3-4 hour clean/reinstall on a friends computer. He had a terrible virus what wouldn't let him load ANYTHING. I had to reinstall windows (the easy part) but.... he has a Gateway!!!! You know how gateway is that sometimes they give you everythign but sometimes they don't (driver wise). Well, i had to go the driver site and download a butt load of drivers from my computer and load them on his and back and forth and back and forth. Anyway, the point of the question is:

whats the longest you've spent "fixing" a computer??
and
give me the biggest/bestest whoopie you can think of.

I recently signed up for music downloads at Limewire.com. The icon on my desktop says Frostwire. I'm using a laptop with a wireless internet connection, and Frostwire will only let me get a few songs at a time before it loses its connection, and then I have to go unplug my modem before I can use the internet again. Does this have something to do with firewall? If so, can someone tell me how to disable firewall for Frostwire only? I looked briefly for the Frostwire port number but haven't found it. I only know what my computer can tell me about firewall (if that's even the problem). Something about adding a port and its number. Thanks.
