How is it that some REGULAR people on myspace have only been on there for a couple of months and already have 500 friends or more?How is that possible...how do they do it...do they think its a competion or something?Help me understand!!

several possible reasons.
1. they go around looking for a lot of people and add them, they also accept anyone who befriends them.
2. a lot of them accept bands as friends.
3. the most likely-they use a whore train that adds a ton of friends in a short period of time.
