These are ways:
(1) USB Flash
(2) USB 2.5 HDD
(3) USB WIFI - both computers must have USB wifi.
(4) Use LAPLINK Cables - see link.
(5) LAN Cable - crossover if you don't have hub.
(6) Others - bluetooth/infrared USB dongle, modem to modem...
I have all the above, but for you maybe the most practical is 5 or even 4.

Ok many good ideas i like granys idea and you can burn alot onto a cd as data also if you have a burner my solution and its free and easy is if you know how to open your computer and monuver around take out your hard drive from your old computer and you will see jumpers.. set the jumpers from your old computer to slave and put it into your new one. when you turn your new one on and go to my computer you will see you have a C: and a D: drive C is your new one and the other is your old one. copy anything you want from d to any folder onto c and leave it there for a backup if you want or put it back into your old one.

Hook them up togather with a CAT6 or CAT5 cable(in the Lan ports if you have them), then use the windows settings and transfer wizard or share the hard drive of the old one and copy the files from it using the new one.
