They're stored using iTunes and will be erased off of my iPod if my hard drive is erased. I have to though, because in my "Temporary Internet Files" I have a virus. I have tried everything to delete the virus manually, but no luck. This wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't have over 200 c.d.'s stored on it. Is there a cord I can use to transfer files between two computers or a mass mp3 storage site online I could work with? I have tried transferring the files between computers using a USB memory stick, but it can only transfer a couple songs at a time, and this would take hours or even days by hand, as there is small storage space available. My computer is starting to function a lot slower, so I must act fast and would really appreciate any help whatsoever, as I do not want to lose my files either. I am a music fanatic.

Burn them on to DVD's if you have a burner.
Actually you should not have to wipe out your computer just because you have a virus. Try any of the antivirus programs to check and clean your computer. I use avast it is free for personal use and available at www.avast.com

I voted for masters answer. Buy another hard drive and install it with your operating system. Use your original drive as a slave drive and copy all of your mp3 files onto the new hard drive. Once they are copied, you can format the old drive and use it as a secondary data storage or use it to hold just the mp3's. That way if the operating system ever crashes again, you will still have all the music and video on the secondary drive and you can acces them when you reinstall windows with no prob.

Just one clue. You don't want to upload them to the Internet you want to do something locally, like an external hard drive or a DVD. The reason is if you think transferring them to a flash drive is slow I can tell you that up loading is much slower then that!
You are going to get a max of about .5 Megabytes per second (upload speed is much slower then download speed). 200 CDs are about 200 * 700 Megabytes. So you are talking about over 70000 seconds or 1166.66 minutes or 19.44 hours!

Buy a cd/dvd rewriteable cd/dvd format it with nero in cd then drag and drop or copy and paste to it like you would a floppy when it is full copy the disk in nero then burn it onto a write once cd/dvd or copy back to hard drive a dvd will hold 4.4gb of your music and you can just transfer the whole folder to the dvd then delete the files from the re writable cd/dvd and use again thats the most economical way to do it

You can always transfer the files over a network cable.
On Wndows you can share the drives between the two systems.
On Linux/Unix systems you can use FTP to transfer them - but be sure to use Binary mode!
Of course, you could also use FTP on Windows, too.

Unless you have a high speed zip drive or want to spend all day burning cds I sugest you go get a new hard drive, install windows/mac/linux on that and just keep your current drive as a secondary drive.
that way you get a working computer and keep your files

Formatting or changing anything on an external or internal drive will not affect anything on any other drive.Just make sure when formatting you do select the correct drive, not the one with your OS on it.
