I'm interested in buying a laptop, but I want to know which is the better buy, and if not apple or windows, what other brand would be good?

wireless laptop to the home network. I have run the wireless setup on my desktop and when I transfer files to the laptop, I get error 871122, have been to micro site but don't understand the problem I can sit downstairs & my laptop will connect to network upstairs but it is an insecure wireless network, how do I make the connection secure? There is also another network I can connect to that is insecure but I don't know who's it is or where it is?

i'm trying to make an amv or just upload a movie but it says this...

The file C:\Documents and (movie or episode name and files) cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

hi all..
basically i have a menu like this:

Home

Politics

Sports

Weather

This menu works good for today. This is a news website so i have to save every page on my server for future reference by creating the directories like 2006/sep/5/index.php , then 2006/sep/5/sports/sports.php , then 2006/sep/5/politics/politics.php. When i include the menu.php(now its in the 2006/sep/5/menu.php) in 2006/sep/5/index , 2006/sep/5/sports , 2006/sep/5/politics pages, i m getting the links as www.mysite.com/index.php , www.mysite.com/sports/sports.php ..etc instead of www.mysite.com/2006/sep/5/index.php.

am i clear with my problem ?? I have to show the webpage for today as well as for tomorrow(as a old page).

Hi,

In this comptuer I already have a wired network connected to my router but I am going to create a second network wirelessly with other group of computers.

In other words one computer connected to two networks, one wired and one wireless.

I was just thinking about just installing the wireless card and see if it would work after that... will this possible?

Since this computes is already part of a wired network do I have to change or switch anything on the wireless interface?

I will appreciate any thoughts or help on this.

the wizard let me know it wouldn't install because it couldn't find the necessary software although it did try also trouble shooter didn't help any and at the bottom of my screen it read hardware found but there must be something wrong can this situation be helped
