I am looking for a program that will help conver sound recordings i have taken to text....

There are programs that will do this, however, at best, they do a half assed job! In order to find one that really works it would cost you a grand not to mention another 300 for a microphone. Even then, trying to use it to cipher a recording would make it impractical at ANY cost! You could try IBM via voice but methinx you would be wasting your money.....

Microsoft Office has this capability (dictation, but you can use a second audio channel as the recording source), as does Windows Vista (which has integrated voice recognition).

wow I don't know if such a program exists... better, I know that exist some programs which convert your speech into text, but I don't know if you're talking about this... Anyway these programs are not 100% reliable so be careful when you use them
