Hi Jacki...I'm not certain what your question is relating to however, if you are using referring to the Safari browser address bar missing type Command + L to reveal it.

Um...it's not supposed to... The Finder is the equivalant of the Windows Explorer (to most windows users, it's the "file thingy"). Use the Finder to browse files, and do all that cool stuff. The Finder icon is located in the Dock (thingy at the bottom) on the far left side. Click on that icon, and it will bring up a window where you can view your files.
