I just want to dispose of the few I have at my community's electronics drop off day and prefer not to have to do too much work. I have been told to just get the hard drive out and smash it, but where is it an how small must I smash it?

i have stacks of cds with jpegs on them. is there a program that will not only make thumbnails but format them to fit on the cover of each cd so i dont have to open the cd to see the contents? ive found a program to make thumbnails, but sizing each one and then placing each one will take me years.

I have a spare computer, but it has a CRT monitor I want to replace it with some type of flat screen. Can anyone tell me what is the best type to get ( pro con's ) . I only want to use it as a monitor for basic computer stuff ( not video games).

I have an XP and a ME computer. My XP computer is not booting, and I have to restore factory settings. Yet, I want the files on the hard drive of the XP before I restore it. I added the hard drive of the XP to the ME as a slave drive (jumpers are set), and the ME, when it started, did recognize the new driver. However, when I try to see the new drive in "My Computers" I do not see it (I tried in Safe Mode, too, but no luck). I entered BIOS settings to see if the driver is being recognized, and it is. But, once again, I don't see it in the My Computer folder, and I need to get to it in order to get to my files and copy them over.

A little help please. Thanks.

I would like to know the best way to bulk scan original photographs.
We probably have 1000s from over the years in a variety of shapes and sizes. I'd like to scan them in bulk (probably using some sort of
automatic photo feeder for a scanner), and then get them into iPhoto
for organizing and eventually publishing on the web.

I am shopping around for a printer. Over the years, I have had Lexmark which are ecomonical and dependable. I am thinking about getting a "3 in 1" model..a printer, scanner, and copier. The one I'm looking at uses one cartridge..supposedly one that produces color AND black. Anyone have one or heard about one? I'm wondering..does it need replacing more often than separate cartridges for color and black would require?

On some pages I try to view on Myspace.com, a Windows prompt comes up for me to click OK to run the Active X on the page. Sometimes multiple prompts come up on the same page, and after a moment I get a response saying that the page has encountered an error and needs to close. I've tried contacting Myspace.com to ask what to do, and they said they are working on the problem and to please be patient. It can be annoying, though. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? Help me please! Almost everyday my computer comes up with the blue screen of death saying there is an error. It tells me to disable bio memory options like caching and shadowing.. how do i do that?? Also one of the first things that comes up is driver_irql_not_less_or_equal , what does that mean? Then at the bottom it shows up with 0x000000D1 what does that mean too? I need to get rid of this because when i do homework it erases what i have done so far so i really need you people to help me! I dont want to tell my dad because he will like kill me. Do you buy the extra coverage? What has been your overall experience. One is a girl who will be commuting home by air.
