My computer keeps showing a box that says this site is running Activex controls and may not be displayed correctly. How do I fix this?

If you do not want ActiveX, then BUY a MAC. ActiveX is a vital part of WinDUD.

But let's take a closer look at your real problems. You might have spyware.

You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

This double whammy will help keep you safe and running faster

Now, let's minimize your startup programs. There is always more junk running than you need.

The best way to avoid issues with ActiveX at non-Microsoft Websites, is to use something other than Internet Explorer to SURF the web. Go to http://www.mozilla.com and get the free version of FireFox. Download and install that. You see, FireFox does not have ActiveX, so it avoids many spyware threats.

Good luck

Hmmm a technical question. Actually the problem is with the website you are visiting not your computer. If you are using firefox as your browser it has no ActiveX abilities. But you can install them as an extension. Active X has some good uses. But is also known to be one of the areas. That is vulnerable to abuse such as viruses and browser hijackers etc. to enable activeX in IE go here. http://upgradecentre.sympatico.ca/EnableAX.aspx
