You know those ads you see on certain sites claiming 'Get a free Ipod' or 'Get a free Xbox.' All you have to do is fill in your personal information, complete a deal, and refer some friends.

Is that real? or do these companies take your credit card information and take money from you?

HELP!

They are real but they ask you to participate in other offers which are their sponsers. How can they buy you a free ipod or 360? They get money from their sponsers.

Maybe they won't steal your money, but you should know that they wouldn't put up these advertisements without wanting to gain something from it themselves. There's always a catch and I suggest that you should not release any private information for your safety.

yeah they are just scams, to sell your details on to send u tones of junk mail, they say they will send u one if u get x number of people to sign up as well using a special reference.
they say about 6 people, more like 60 people are required.

ITS A WAY TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SO THEY COULD SELL IT TO OTHER COMPANIES, THEN YOU WILL GET A BUNCH OF SPAM. YOU COULD WIN ONE, BUT ITS A LOTTARY.
