HELP!!!!!
The top of my internet browser (where the toolbars go and stuff) has gone completly mad!!!

The back and forward button is on the left side. And when i type in a website there "go" button is gone!!!

How do i reset it or at least get it back to normal (normal would be the back and forward button on the right side, the "go" button there again etc)

In a day or so I'm about to purchase a cable lock for my new laptop that I'm going to use while I'm in university.

It'll give me some peace of mind knowing it'll be safe. But I would absolutely love having complete peace of mind instead.

Is a security cable lock (particularly the Kensington ones) really effective to keep my laptop safe?

I'd appreciate any input!

I heard this and it caught my attention. Instead of preventing certain applications from running (which is the current method), your anti-virus should allow certain ones to run (i.e. the ones you need, like your browser for instance). Isn't this better than the non-stop virus updates and the continuous threats?

There were a few times when it would freeze up during the boot up stage with unrecognizable characters on the screen. I am told this could be the video card or motherboard on its way out. Is this true? Thanks very much.

Checking file system on C:
the type of file is NTFS.

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disk check but it is strongly recommended that you continue

and Microsoft's intention is to make money selling Office (Word+Excel) then shouldnt it be possible that MSN Search results can be added to a "Word document" along with image search results then download the Word document for offline viewing? That would promote Word usage ?

I want to keep a record of all my friends and with their pictures along with what they like so whenever I meet up with them, I will remember them. Is there a program out there that can properly keep this info. If so what is it? thanks

I would say that Sony is probably the most advanced electronics company in the world. Why? Because they are able to conceal the "Sony Timer" within most of their products and no matter how many of their products you take apart, you just would not be able to find out how this ingenious piece of technology works. So what on earth am I on about? Well the Sony Timer enables Sony's products to conveniently time out either when the warranty runs out or when Sony brings out a new line of that product. Now this is probably not common knowledge - a search for "Sony Timer" in English a while ago brought up no results - but have a look now on Google and Yahoo! (you get more useful results for this on Yahoo)You will start to realize the scary truth when you do a search for "Sony Timer" in Japanese on Google - 350,000 results! You can even find a full explanation of Sony timer in Wikipedia in Japanese and English.

A week ago I got an external hard drive for my computer since I was running low on my memory.
I eventually moved all my music to the external hard drive.
And alas, this created a problem.
iTunes cannot find my music anymore! I would have to individually, for each song, go to the file where I put it and help iTunes find it. This would be fine... if I had a few song. There's a problem though, I have 9 gigs worth of music. It would take forever for me to go through all of my songs and tell iTunes where my music is. Is there any way for iTunes to do this automatically?
