i have stacks of cds with jpegs on them. is there a program that will not only make thumbnails but format them to fit on the cover of each cd so i dont have to open the cd to see the contents? ive found a program to make thumbnails, but sizing each one and then placing each one will take me years.

This tip works for only Photoshop. Don't worry this tip is extremely time preserving and for all of your images it might take 5 minutes.Open a few of the files (something like 5). Take one image and on the ACTIONS pallette, press the 'New Action' button(it is beside the trach icon). They ask you to write a name of the action. Just write something like 'resize image' for the action. Then press RECORD. Then go to IMAGE>IMAGE SIZE and then in the width text box write whatever the width you wanted for the thumbnail. Then in the actions pallette(again) press stop. to stop recording your action. After doing that, go to FILE>AUTOMATE>BATCH.. and in the action drop down menu press the resize action we created earlier. for Source press opened files (remember we had almost 5 images open) For DESTINATION, I reccommend you make a copy by pressing selecting FOLDER. Then press ok. in about a few seconds all of your files will be resizes and saved in the DESTINATION folder. To do that to the rest of your images, just open them (in Photoshop) and then go to FILE>AUTOMATE>BATCH again. If this is confusing. Just email me at obaid_sherkhan@yahoo.co.uk. I'll try my best to help
