1. Shut down the computer.
2. Leave the computer plugged into the surge suppressor.
3. Disconnect all peripherals from the computer.
4. Remove the cover of the chassis.
5. Ground yourself to the computer. If you have a grounding strap, put it on and follow its directions. Otherwise, ground yourself by touching a metal part of the chassis.
6. Remove the back panel, if necessary.
7. Remove the existing sound card, if any. Put the new sound card into that slot if it will fit physically. Skip to Step 11.
8. If the computer doesn't already have a sound card, find an open PCI slot. PCI slots are smaller than ISA slots.
9. Knock out or unscrew the metal plate on the card's slot holder on the back panel.
10. Insert the sound card gently but firmly into the slot. Rock it into position if necessary, but don't force it. Don't touch any connectors on the card.
11. Connect cables from the CD-ROM drive to the sound card.
12. Replace the back panel and any removed screws. Screw sound card into slot holder if it has a screw hole.
13. Reconnect monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Connect speakers to the sound card's ports.
14. Turn on the speakers and restart the computer.
15. If Windows detects the sound card upon startup, follow instructions to install the card's driver and additional software. If Windows doesn't detect sound card, manually complete the installation using the Add New Hardware control panel.

17. Shut down computer.
18. Replace cover of computer. Reboot computer.

To have sound play through your speakers you need to have a Sound Card or Adapter installed in your computer. Merely having a sound card installed in your computer is only half of the requirement. You also need to have the Software Drivers installed for the Sound Card. This Software Driver for the Sound Card has to be compatible with your Operating System. This means that you cannot use the Sound Card Drivers made for Windows 95 to make your Sound Card work with Windows XP and such.

So first, find out if you have a Sound Card installed in your Computer ( you will see three holes or jacks with small labels of a speaker, a microphone and another hole or jack), then see if it has all the Drivers etc installed. If every thing is setup properly then you should have sound playable by your computer. Since we are doing all this, let us check to see if your speakers actually work as well. See if the wire connections from the speakers to the Computer is plugged in properly and into the right jacks. Also check that you speakers are powered speakers ( they will have their own Power adapter ).

When you say no sound, what do you mean? Do you have a sound card installed? Could it be the cord for the speakers has fallen out of the back or maybe, been put in the wrong hole?

do following things.

First check speakers are on and wire is put in the correct hole of computer machine....see correct hole on your sound card or motherboard holes.

Then check properties of volume set it higher

If this is not solved your problem then check if you have installed correct drivers for your sound card. as sound card working depends on drivers. drivers is nothing but a software which is to be installed on pc to sopport your sound card. hopes this information helps

If you've really tried all the other options, then there's nothing else you can possibly do, so there's no way anybody can help you.
