I have my own company, www.purse-hanger.com and I am trying to verify where my customers are coming from. I have an IP address, but do not know how to tranlsate that so I can to the web page they came from. Is this possible?

I've had a computer that at startup always reads windows cannot find C:\windows\system32\dvaudio.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly... I hit "okay" and then another message pops up saying that it cannot run that same file specified in the registry, make sure it exists on your computer, and again, I just hit "okay". I was able to then continue to do everything I needed to on the computer. Problem is I am selling the computer and I don't want that to appear at startup. Is there a way to fix it or get rid of it? I looked in system info under startup programs and see system32\dvraudio.exe there. Can I just delete it? It also does the same thing to windows\system32\mdmdll.exe. What are they and how do I stop it from popping up when I turn on the computer. Remember, I've been using the computer after hitting "okay" without incident. HELP!

One of my client is getting this funny error which Microsoft says this link -> http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q240697 would fix which it doesn't.
Issue is clicking "Find"/"Search" in Outlook 2003 on IMAP folders. Doing the local .pst folders works fine. Full error reads like :

There are too many Find Public Folders dialogs open. You must close them in order to use the Advanced Find. Do you want to close them now?
Yes / No

If I click yes, nothing much happens. He has rebooted, made sure only one instance of Outlook is running etc.
He has all the relevant Service Packs.
He has the Windows XP. Have tried creating a new profile but still no go.
Any Ideas??

My dvd/cd-rom drive wont work anymore, and I just used it the other day and now it wont read any discs, which really ticks me off cuz i just bought a new game the other day without knowing this and they wont take it back cuz its been opened (but thats another story). My dvd drive just makes a humming sound, and the disc does spin, it just wont read... if someone could help me that would be great!

i accidentally deleted mine. And no, clicking right and going to "field chooser" doesn't work. I may be doing something wrong, but it provides no way to "apply" it and there's no "ok" button.

nothing to do for the next couple of weeks. Should I read them and learn Perl? Is it worth reading? Or should I just delete them. Its a few Oreilly books.

Like how important is Perl? And is it easy enough for me to do on my own with just these books?

What I mean is, what's the use of learning something if you don't know its significance? I know nothing about scripting etc. (No nothing). A year down the line, I'll be looking for entry level jobs in s/w. Considering that should i learn perl?

I have now realized that not only do i have some slides that are going to have to be switched from excel format onto slides, that I also have some pre-existing slides that I need to have moved onto a new presentation. We had a really bad thunder and lightening storm the other night and since then none of the usb ports work, i have tried different devices in different ports and nothing works. The rest of the computer works and the mouse does work in another computer. The computer states that the usb is working correctly. Was just wondering if maybe the lightening might have messed up the usb ports and nothing else. Can someone help me, please? And what can I do to fix it? I have tried all kinds of things.
