i'm looking for a laptop that will allow me to work away from the studio, not necessarily as a PC replacement but capable of doing the majority of things fast. i'll be running a number of graphics programs using large files - AutoCAD, photoshop, 3dsmax, sketchup. i'd also like it to be lightish and to be as thin as possible. i do some gaming, playing tomb raider etc and would like to use wifi, but it'd be a secondary to the ability to work. i also edit films and mp3s so something capable of running editing facilities at top speed would be handy. i'd have a top-end budget of £1000 but wouldn't want to spend much more than £700-800. any recommendations? maker? model? shops etc?

Here is what I've checked so far. Tried running fdsik, then format, it does that fine. However, when trying to load WinXP, it stops during the install. It does not stop in the same place every time. I think it may be the CPU is over heating. No response from keyboard or mouse and screen is frozen. I tried another disk, tried another known good video card, tried another known keyboard, tried another known good IDE cable.

I tried known good stick of 128 RAM. This is a Micron Milenium computer. I pulled the case off and visually inspected all connections were firmly connected and there is no visable damage or spills. I think the system may not be cooling the CPU. I have one small fan directly over top of the CPU and one directly on the heat sinks of the CPU. There is a lot of dust built up in the CPU. I guess I'll try taking a can of compressed air and blowing out the case and both fans. If blowing the dust out doesn't solve my problem, what else can I do or what else can I check

If information would come from a MySQL Database, how do use AJAX to automatically refresh the information on the PHP page (without refreshing the entire page) as the customer interacts with the current information displayed on the page?

I'm using two optionbox, where by changing the first one, the entry of second would change according to our choice in first one! I want to do this without reloading of entire page...

this link (http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/ajax_database.asp) gives an example, but it uses asp, and I'm using php...

can you help me?
