i need to know how to convert .wav files to mp3 files using WinXP MC Edition. i did it once a long time ago using sound recorder but can't remember how! any advice? (and keep your smarta$$ answers to yourself please!)

I'm about to download a 1.4 GB movie. Will Azereus stop downloading if my internet gets temporarily disconnected? Wont it auto-resume? & Why do i get slow torrent downloading speed despite having 256kbps broadband connection? Pls Help.

When I am surfing the internet, it sometimes comes up as "Page cannot be displayed". Why does it do this and how can I fix it? It does it on pages I have been to a hundered times before too. I have to click back and then try to go in again and sometimes it will finally work.

I am looking into it. It sounds good on my part. But, I have to change my phone number and it will be a number from another part of the state. We live in a small town and can't get a local number. I have a wireless home network. The main computer runs XP, another does also. I want to access the files of a certain user on the main computer, from the other one - in other words I want to log in remotely so that I can get to my files on there (you can access the shared files on there, but not user ones, even though there is no password for that user ...?)

It is possible to do so from 98, what about XP?

I have a deep hatred for AOL, however I've never been a customer.

It seems to me that aol is cumbersome (adds all kinds of software that you don't want, don't need, and can't get rid of)

They give you the internet that they want you to see (whoever pays them the most, that's what you get with your search results).

They don't "play well" with the other IM programs.

Their customer service is terrible

Their service is expensive

and if you want to cancel, they make it nearly impossible?

So, just wondering why u guys still use it???

Some of my monitors in my cafe get fuzzy after some minutes of use. The only way to offset thisis to make adjustments to the brightness and constrast dials (downwards). However, it reaches a point when it doesn't work anymore. What can a technician do about it, what repairs are needed? I need top know this in advance so that the local techs don't try to cheat me into buying some expensive part I don't need.
