I have a deep hatred for AOL, however I've never been a customer.

It seems to me that aol is cumbersome (adds all kinds of software that you don't want, don't need, and can't get rid of)

They give you the internet that they want you to see (whoever pays them the most, that's what you get with your search results).

They don't "play well" with the other IM programs.

Their customer service is terrible

Their service is expensive

and if you want to cancel, they make it nearly impossible?

So, just wondering why u guys still use it???

well i used to work for aol technical its rather easy to cancel.
most people who have aol have limited experience of the internet, and since aol adverts are never off the TV
people sign up.
also the aol program has keywords so makes it really simple for people to go between websites.

It is resource hungry; I stopped using it years ago and used it for only a few months.
