When I signed on, I had fifty plus email. I deleted only one (1), and more that 25 email got deleted. I questioned this when it happened some time ago, but no one had an answer. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I already know all about DSL and the speed, but i would like to know how fast is fast.

Lets say i have a 56.6kb dial-up connection, of which i only get to use 49.2 of the connection. I have a 5 to 6 times accelerator.

I might be getting a 1.5M connection.

Now lets say i download files that normally take 10 to 30 minutes to download on the Dial-Up connection i have. How long would it take to download them on a 1.5M connection.

By the way, dial-up has to lower picture quality(images) in order to increase internet quality(speed). I was wondering, does DSL have to do that in order to get high speed. Does DSL allow best internet quality without lowering picture quality.

everytime i reboot and restart my computer i have dozens of things startin and runnin at once and i dont use most of them, ive been trying to figure out how to get it so it will only just start up one program and then i can manually start up whatever i need but im having no luck figuring it out. can someone pls help me?

II knoe the other persons name and location but not DOB or NI number.

What is the proper way to log out of, and shut down Yahoo messenger without being seen?? On the "messenger pulldown" at the top left corner of the messenger box, it offers "sign out", and "close", what is the proper way,or order to do it. I don't want people to see when I sign in and out. so, do I sign out, and then close, or close, and then, sign out? Thank you to all for your time.... :))

What would be the best way to format/get rid of all information
off a hard drive so I give it to someone or sell it.

I purchased a Viewsonic VA712B (has built-in speakers) and thought the sound was not very good. My PC is about six years old and therefore has an old sound card. If I purchase a new PC with up to date components such as the sound card, will that make the speakers perform/sound any better?
The monitor is fantastic, but speakers sound bad enough that I doubt I will keep it unless they would be significantly affected by a new sound card.
