What is the proper way to log out of, and shut down Yahoo messenger without being seen?? On the "messenger pulldown" at the top left corner of the messenger box, it offers "sign out", and "close", what is the proper way,or order to do it. I don't want people to see when I sign in and out. so, do I sign out, and then close, or close, and then, sign out? Thank you to all for your time.... :))

All you have to to is go to the Messenger tab, click on status, and mark as invisible to everybody, and then no one will know that your even singned-in or when you sign-out.

All that the close button does is basically minimize messenger to your taskbar (usually in the bottom right of your screen)
People are going to see when you sign out, if you sign in. So if you don't want them to see you sign in OR out... choose the sign in as invisible option. and never become invisible.
Why don't you want them to see you sign out???

when you log on put sign in as invisible and nobody sees you getting on or off

u can do it either way but i think people will see u log on & off either way

under your preferences, you have the option to be 'invisible' to everyone, try that!
