Actually, an account is automatically deleted after a few months (3-5) of complete inactivity. If you want to just delete it right now, go here: https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

Not until the old one is inactive for a few months. Just stop checkign the old one.

they will deactivate after 90 days and probably delete account some time later.

i have accounts that i deleted 7 years ago and they are still there. don't hold your breath. yahoo is too busy counting their money to worry about it.
