While trying to watch internet based videos through Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or Real Player, recently I get an error claiming that I am not connected to the internet.. but obviously I am connected.. I cannot figure out how to install a codec from an .acm file. I got them from the C:\WINDOWS\System folder of a Windows 98 computer, and want to install it to C:\WINDOWS\system32 (or wherever it belongs...other .acm files are here) of a Windows XP. I do still have the 98 folder. Do I need an .inf or and .dll files? Please help.
