Someone told me I need so much RAM? How should I know the RAM if the specs for all the computers ( atleast those I have looked at online ) don't even have the word RAM in the descriptions

I have yahoo as my E-mail I was just wondering if Yahoo Mail has voice activated alerts to let you know that you have new mail.I know Aol has you've got mail and you can get celebrity E-mail voice for your E-mail from aol .does anyone know if yahoo has the same thing. if so where do i get voice E-mail alerts.

I recently bought this laptop, and have experienced several shocks from it. When I was shocked, it was on and I was barefoot on a carpet while holding it. It felt like somewhere between an electric shock and static electricity. Is this normal? What could be causing this?

Well not a lot lately. I bought a new Power Supply (550 Watt) and it works great and everything, but my computer still freezes. Could it be my RAM? I just figured out uesterday that trhe RAM in my computer was a 512mb PC2700 stick. And I added a 512mb PC3200. Could it be the different ones causing freezing?!?

I just bought a new hp printer, fax, copier all in one and when I tried to install it, my CD drawer will not come open by itself and can force it open but it still will not read the CD. Is there anything I can do other than buy a new computer. Everything else on the computer works fine.

Recently I became part of the MSN Hotmail Beta program for new e-mail. About that time, I noticed that I began having difficulty downloading some attachments, which were blocked as pop-ups. I don't know if there is a connection, or if that was coincidence. I haven't loaded any other new programs other than ACDsee (photo manager). I also began having difficulty opening links that were legitimate, and accessing pages that I need to get to. I have disabled every pop-up blocker that I can think of - Explorer, Google, Msn, Norton, Yahoo. I still get messages that pop-ups are blocked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't like annoying pop-ups, but even that's better than not being able to get the information I need!!

i am working with windows XP home edition. my taskbar and start menu is missing with my particular user id. i tried to restore it with different user id. it is working fine but with my personal id it is missing. kindly suggest me how can i get it back. it is also happening that nothing is being showed when i use the right click button of my mouse. kindly give me some answer as i have a lot of documents with my id.i have tried everything from using the windows key to pressing ctrl+esc, but nothing is working.

iTs kinda weird cuz my parents got this internet about almost a year ago...bout 11 months ago and i never used ta get popups but now i am...i hate it too!!!!!
