Unless you have specifically set your ''Preferences' to 'Archive all Messages', your IMs and conversations will NOT be archived by Yahoo! Messenger in your computer.
Yahoo! may also be simultaneously archiving all IMs and conversations at their end, to help the Law enforcers with any criminal investigations that may need them.
But, unless one can provide a genuine and valid reason, it is very doubtful that they will help any individual in retrieving past messages ! If they did it as a routine, Yahoo! will have to set up an entire Division to handle the floods of requests !

Yahoo Messenger does not archive conversation unless you set it to. I dont think un-archived conversations can be retrieved. Sorry!

I dont think so... i really worry about that too because of my mom. OH WAIT!!! i remebered something. If you go into "my documents" on your computer... sometimes (i dont know why sometimes there is and sometimes there isnt) BUT... there will be a folder that says "filib" or something like that, and i once found alot of my instant messages in that folder so... that is the only way i know of...
