XP uses the more efficient NTFS file system over the FAT32 of 98.The defrag is also improved as are networking and memory usage. It's along way from perfect but much better than 98.When you try to create an operating system that even a neophyte can jump in and use, you're going to have problems.

Actually Windows XP uses a lot more resources...but i have NEVER had it blue screen, ever.

But now i use linux, it is way more efficient..not to mention i don't like the Windows XP activation thing...makes you feel like a criminal as a customer.
