As far as i know... it doesnt... but you can configure your email application to download your yahoo emails, then program it to say youve got mail.

Yes. I just saw something about that the other night. Not sure where, may have been on my home page or on my mail page. Was an "add" looking thing on the bottom left of what ever page I was on at the time. Wasn't interested as I get the alert in my tool bar and could care less of having to be bothered with a voice alert when I'm working. When I see the t/bar alert I can go there at my leisure.

That's easy. All you have to do is make sure your Sound options are set. Go to the Control Panel and choose Sounds. You want to change the Event Sounds. See first link below. To make a change to the sound for an event, select the event in the Sounds Dialog box, then click on "Browse". This will open a file-search dialog allowing you to locate the file. Select the C: drive and look in your "Program Files" folder for the e-Speaking program folder (if you have installed e-Speaking). Then open the Sounds folder.

You can download various sounds for different events through the Internet. (see second link below)

The sounds are stored as WAV files on your computer. To update an even't sound, all you have to do is point the computer to the location of the appropriate sound.

in case you're employing hotmail on my own, there is no "alert sound". in case you're conversing approximately MSN, then basically circulate into strategies, alerts, and tick "demonstrate alerts whilst e mail is recieved".
