how do you use a signature to sign contracts and files through adobe reader?

You can sign the contract digitally in Reader only if the creator of the file made a digital signature field. If they did, you'll see a form field indicating it as such. Simply click in the field and follow the instructions.

If there is not field you won't be able to sign it digitally.

If the document has a previously authored empty signature field in it all you have to do is go to the button that says sign and adobe will let you sign the contracts and/or files.

You have to have the regular adobe not just the reader.
