I was wondering if Smiley Central was OK to download or does it infect your computer with viruses. Someone told me not to download it because MyWebSearch downloads with it and that MyWebSearch has viruses or Ad-ware. Does anyone know if it's safe or not?

I recently got a macbook pro, and installed boot camp and Windows XP to it. It starts up fine, and I installed all the mac drivers as it tells you to do. But there is no sound. The computer says there is no sound device under the device manager. I found the actual sound drivers in the program files, and clicked set-up. It goes through something and then says to restart the computer. When I did that it went back to the program and said the system would not recognize those drivers. I did some google searches and couldn't find anything about the sound not working (just that if you hook up headphones to it while in XP, the mac's speakers will still play audio). So, anyone have any clue how I can get the sound to work on the Windows XP side of my Macbook Pro?

Ok, in an e-mail and a search bar I was typing something. I erased it, and then these weird dots appeared. the weird dots turned into letters, then more dots, then more letters. it read, "animal comments were 101 410 in on the list" and It was different every time. Can anyone help me?

I am not a beginner, but not an advanced coder either. I started with godaddy for name and hosting, but their Websitetonight product does not give me the polished look I want. I don't think I need something like Dreamweaver because I don't plan on building again after this. I cannot find a web-based option that has lots of great-looking prebuilt pages - this would be ideal. I don't really have the budget to hire a pro. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I heard in a Mac ad that Macs don't get viruses... I have a powerbook but i am afraid to use it on the internet because I am afraid that it will get all messed up like my PC laptop did once I started surfing with it... It gets a lot of spyware and it is slower than a mo-fo... And before I put anti-virus software on it and surfed the web it got a killer virus and I had to reinstall all the windows...

Will my Mac get messed up by surfing without anti-virus software...?

Im usin an Acer 2410 TravelMate series notebokk with a LiteOn Charging thingee i dont know who made my ISP(Inline Surge Protector) but i bought everything in India. My Charging thingee is a Model No PA 1650-02 Input 100-240V Im in NY,USA right now this happened this morning. I unplugged everything and the smoke stopped. I tried it without the ISP. I went to a site that was obviously f'ed up and now I am getting all these popups from Targetsaver and all kinds of popup sites. When they pop up, I ad that site to my resrticted sites list. I'm still getting them. What is the point of restricted sites in the control panel-internet options?
