after i reinstalled window xp, i had no sound so is the sound driver missing? is that the problem? please help and also, can you give me directions on how to install the driver? that would be a lot of help. (p.s. i'm not a total idiot with computer)

do i need windows xp sp1 and or sp2?

i currently have a dell desktop that is a few years old. it came preloaded with windows xp home version. the problem is that i recently bought an mp3 player and it says that it requires windows windows service pack 1 or2. do i need really need to update my software and how do i do it? will it cost me any money?

How do I delete my cache... I have no idea?

I've been trying to get onto a particular website which I've been allowed to join. Only problem is that every time I go onto the site the site loads then disappears completely not even allowing me to go so far as to log in.
I contacted the site administrator and she suggested deleteing my cache and rebooting but I don't how how to do that... could this be the problem... ? Any other suggestions as to why this is happening as it's only happening on that website....

Why when I am playing POGO, does my mouse icon freeze & not do anything, then I lose the game? & what is JAVA?

i lose the dang game because it just sits there then the other person clicks the time expired and i lose! even if i was winning??!!

My download time has slowed way down, and I can't clear my downloads history. Any ideas for a fix?

I am using Firefox. I just downloaded the 1.7 version; that didn't seem to help. I can't clear the download history-- I get the hourglass and the program doesn't respond. Anyone got any good ideas?
