Please list some recommendations of free video editing software. This means no trials or shareware. Just freeware. There has got to be some out there. Anyway, the best recommendations will get the best answer vote from me. I want something like Windows Movie Maker but far more advanced.

It's a --tar.gz file
The full filename is: CJLZ600LE-CUPS-1.0-1.TAR.gz
How do I install it, and if using the terminal, what commands do I use?
I know with the .bin files you need to convert them to .exe files through the terminal, and them install them
But what do you do with this?

I just bought a new pc and when I try to plug-in any USB peripherals (i.e. an external hard-drive, a USB flash drive etc.) it pops up with the "found new hardware wizard" and it looks for drivers without finding any. These peripherals normally just need to be plugged-in and don't need any external driver as they are compliant with drivers included in Windows XP. Also the peripherals work fine on any other pc (without needing the "found new hardware wizard"). The USB ports seem functional as they recognise correctly the peripherals. They just look for drivers when they should be found within the OS. The PC is a Dell Dimension 9150 with Windows XP Media Center.
