i have windows vista build 5384 beta 2
and the tv tuner card works, i can watch tv on it
but i cant watch it through windows media centre
i want to so i can send it to my xbox 360

probably becuase it's not one of the few tuners that xpmc has 'licensed' to be supported.

solution: wait for vista RC1, which I believe will connect with xbox

The only way to watch TV through Windows media centre is to record the program then watch the replay. TV tuners come with their own software so that you can watch TV - Windows Media player isn't set up to receive transmissions

You must check that your model of card is Media Center Edition Compliant, other wise it will just work in windows as normal but it wont work in Media Center.
