Whenever i try to activate my copy of windows xp pro, i get an error message that my product key is incorrect even if i have typed it correctly. plz help!!!

If you have a legal version of XP Pro, and the key fails.
First was it OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)? (example it came with your gateway)
If true, and you have changed the system (the gateway died and you bought a generic PC) the OEM version looks for the OEM name in the Motherboard BIOS, and does not find it.
If this is the case you can call Microsoft and explain to them that the system died etc.. they will make some kind of replacement offer, or may generate a key that will work.
If you have a hacked copy and you do find a key that lets you get past the 30 day thing, you will still not get to use MANY Microsoft features from their site, because the Genuine Microsoft Check will fail.

Call microsoft and try to activate by phone instead.

contact ur computers company, and wut kind of windows do u currently have? cus if u have one already, ur supposed to buy an upgrade, not the windows!! cus u already have a windows, u just bump up the power... a lot.
