whenever i run an msdos app on my xp sp2 i get the following error
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the system file is not suitable to run ms dos or microsoft windows applcations. choose 'close' to terminate the application.

Most often I've found you can fix this by restoring backup copies of the autoexec.nt and config.nt files.

Well, it is actually telling you what the problem is. MS-DOS applications were single user ones. You have something that is too old to run under XP. You need either a dual boot hard drive, a removable drive, or an older computer running Windows 98 SE or earlier.
