Please list some recommendations of free video editing software. This means no trials or shareware. Just freeware. There has got to be some out there. Anyway, the best recommendations will get the best answer vote from me. I want something like Windows Movie Maker but far more advanced.

Please do not provide me with "Windows Movie Maker" as some of you have already done. Did you not even bother to read my question? I also said only freeware - not trials.

First off, Premiere, Pinnacle, and Ulead are not free. Maybe if you buy them bundled with a capture board or video card but generally no.
There isn't a good free video editing software that does everything well, but for free I would recommend using Virtualdub and AviTricks. If you are resourceful and don't need any super fancy effects you should be able to get by with these tools.

VirtualDub.
It's an open source video capture and linear processing tool for Microsoft Windows. It is free software(GPL licensed). It's very easy to use, and free and opensource, and is updated regularely, and you can edit, transcode, use filters on videos with it. Please see the wikipedia article, where you can find more information on it. Also it's very easy to install, so try it!
From its website:
VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility for 32-bit Windows platforms (95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP), licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It lacks the editing power of a general-purpose editor such as Adobe Premiere, but is streamlined for fast linear operations over video. It has batch-processing capabilities for processing large numbers of files and can be extended with third-party video filters. VirtualDub is mainly geared toward processing AVI files, although it can read (not write) MPEG-1 and also handle sets of BMP images.
If you're using Linux, you can use Diva or PiTiVi.

Windows movie maker is included in the windows software and is very easy to use. You can get tremendous results from this package by adding some of the special features from the menu.

why write such an arsey question, what is the point in being rude? go to www.download.com for some good software and change the license type to free, this will only display free software, it is an easy way of getting good software.
also note that you can read reviews of the software before you download it.
