Vista has some downsides of the fence: * most of the video games are actually not any further be supported by XP except it does say it at this technique's minimum device standards. * most of the computers are Vista while built and don't help an XP downgrade * Vista takes up greater memory in which you would be able to desire to get an fairly good notebook for matching your existence sort. productiveness and common video games (decrease than $one thousand) or extreme Definition video games (Over $2000) as quickly as I get a Vista pc, I unquestionably have it built by the OEM producer's internet site instead as I unquestionably have a line of credit with them and have the appropriate deal completed on it that's the costliest of course yet worth it. the main inexpensive the pc isn't that good while you're pondering procuring extreme definition video games like Crysis to run on it.

It won't be long before a computer sold with XP will have a coupon good for a copy of Vista when it is released. Look for that about September / October to fuel the holiday buying.

I would wait for that at least. Vista is a quantum leap ahead.

Windows xp already has a media os, it's windows medica center 2005. And as far as I can, expect maybe for a few minor type of differences. There doesn't appear to be too much of a difference between vista and WMC 2005, as far as I can see. But go to the microsoft web site, thye talk about what vista is going to have and what it can do.

Vista ia a lot different from XP in many ways, presentation layer, native .Net framework, etc. I wouldn't wait for Vista, its a ways out still, just be sure to get a good video card as all UI in vista is vector now via Direct3D.

You could buy an XP, but if you want to try a newer version, you could wait for a Windows Vista.

Vista's launch date has been pushed back and pushed back. I don't think any major release of Windows was ever really all that stable until patches and service packs became available.

You have no guarantee that MS will make the Dec. release. I'd go XP if buying today.
