I only have an iMac G5, and that's slot loading, so I haven't had the same problem. However, Apple keyboards have the "Eject" button on the top right, next to the volume and mute keys -- could that key be stuck? You might also have programmed another "Hot Key" to eject, so check that option out, too.

Otherwise, I'd suggest you ask others who are more likely to have an answer because they have the same hardware, at the Apple Discussions Pages:

Its a virus.


Some of them are really malicious. Your computer pretends to shut off, and then after 20 minutes the virus causes the cd rom drive to open and close really quickly until the motor burns out.

Funny and bad at the same time.

It's actually a beverage holder. The computer is simply inviting you to go to the kitchen and get a cold drink.
