I was stuck in a traffic jam this evening and noticed a woman who was busy talking on her cell phone while her kids climbed in and out of the rear window of her car... I politely waved at her and pointed to the commotion in the back seat... all I got was the finger and a "Mind your own #$*&ing business &^^hole!"... Should I have notified the State Police or just let her go on and endanger those children ??? Oh, by the way, she wasn't wearing her seat belt either ! What do you think ???

My dog has chewed right through my drivers belt and damaged the passenger belt. The law have handed me a 14 day rectification notice to which i say thank you Northumbria Police for not doing me.
I cant for the life of me find reasonably priced replacement belts except from a scrap guy who's asking £155 for the pair. I've seen racing harness' for a third of that price but i need to know if they're legal? Any advice appreciated.

Some time ago, a driver got killed because her platform shoes prevented her from braking in time. But why exactly couldn't she brake? Is it really because of the shoe itself or more likely because of the driver (maybe she was not used to wearing such shoes)?

The highway department is replacing all the signs along I-75 in my area. Even though the old signs were fine. The new ones are more reflective than any I've ever seen. Yesterday the sun hit the one on my exit ramp just right and the glare just about blinded me. When this causes a wreck can I sue he state?

Once I saw a guy signing documents on his steering wheel while driving on the freeway...

However another time I saw a girl using two hands to do make-up eye liner while looking at her vanity mirror on the sun visor and steer with her leg. That was on the freeway and it was pretty scary to see.

we live in alabama. Our lawyer told us the opposing insurance company said that my son was somewhat at fault. He was on his way to school and maybe speeding, Another car pulled out hitting him and totaling his car. My son's car was knocked into a pole that was broken and turned upside down. The opposing insurance adjuster said that someone said my son was speeding when he was hit by another vehicle, how can they say that my son was somewhat at fault when he was the one hit? We settled on the car itself but the insurance company is making a ridiculous claim and offer. Please help I am about to fire the attorney.

Please help if you know how i to find out about this law my attornery supposely said could come into play.

I was involved in a minor car accident. Both of us were backing out of driveways and hit center of the road (officer agreed with this). The police came after we moved our cars. The officer indicated it appeared to be both our faults, several times. The officer went to her car and the other driver spoke to her. The officer did not speak to me alone. The officer ended up citing me and she indicated I was just a little bit more wrong. I had no complaint at that time as I thought she would know. Today I received the accident report and found out the other driver lied about her vehicle position and in the diagram the officer drew her car in a position it was not in, making it appear to be my fault. Is there anything I can do to change this? Is my only option court? I hate to spend more money on an attorney than the fine would be. Thank you in advance!!

Does the asphalt need to be broken up and the ground re-compacted? Do people need to be more aware that sometimes you just have to stop or drive somewhere else?

Actually, one of his gift was a car that she did not want to accept but he insisted. Two years later, must she give him back the car he bought? She is so used to it but he wants it back even though he admits he bought it specifically for her as a gift for their relationship when they celebrated one year together.

Here's what happened:
I was at the intersection of Valmont and Airport waiting to turn left. The car in the oncoming lane (going straight) came to a stop for the yellow light so I started to go. The man in the car behind the one who came to a stop at the yellow light then swerved into the right turn lane and went around the car and continued going straight. Needless to say he hit me head on pretty hard. Unfortunately, I lost that 10 seconds or so. All I remember is seeing the oncoming car stop, starting to go, and then I am all of a sudden facing the other direction, the air bags are out and I am in pain. The woman who was in traffic directly behind the driver that hit me was the one who saw him swerve into the turn lane and pass the car ahead of him. Unfortunately she works at a school and had a small child with her so she wasn't able to talk to the police at the scene. I did give her the number to call the officer though.

Classic accidents changing lines or crashing from a behind a stoped vehicle. Officers may approach but they dont write a ticket to the obvious guilty driver when it is logic that this driver made an infraction

i have a fleet of vehicle on the road at the moment and would like to fit trackers into them but i dont want the drivers to know that they are there. i have 3 drivers that i know are on the fiddle but as yet i cant prove it. i need some sort of evidence so i can get rid of them. i know this sounds underhand but they are going to get the other drivers into trouble and dont want to cause bad feeling in the workforce.

i never quite understood why the passenger seat is called the "shotgun" seat in many movies, tv shows, and ordinary conversation.

does it have anything to do with car accidents?
