I was stuck in a traffic jam this evening and noticed a woman who was busy talking on her cell phone while her kids climbed in and out of the rear window of her car... I politely waved at her and pointed to the commotion in the back seat... all I got was the finger and a "Mind your own #$*&ing business &^^hole!"... Should I have notified the State Police or just let her go on and endanger those children ??? Oh, by the way, she wasn't wearing her seat belt either ! What do you think ???

BTW... it's illegal in my state not to wear a seatbelt...

I would have made a note of her license plate number - then reported her to the police as soon as I arrived at my destination. She was not only a danger to herself, but also to her children and other people on the road.

So now you know what the reaction is to attempts at re-educating people.

Get a hot line # and notify the cops if it will make you feel any better, but they are probably either too busy or indifferent to bother in most cases.

Well what i think you had every right to call the cops. She should of been paying attention to those kids and not allowing them to do that but some people these days have no brains so what's new

People are gonna do what they want to do. You probly know people who are close to you who don't take advise open mindedly. Some things you just don't have controll over. So
as long as you and your kids are belted in, just let idoits be idoits.

Being a good citizen I would have reported her for the protection of the kids and the feed back that she gave you.

not trying to be rude or anything but i think you should mind your bussiness. if she wants to endanger her and her kids life let her do it. i know you dont want to see kids getting hurt. but if they do (hopefully they wont) she will learn her lesson
