There are many examples:

- All the smokers who have heard time and time again the dangers of smoking to themselves and those around them.

- That girl that always ends up with the cheating boyfriends who knows that she's ignoring the fact that loyal guys are out there.

- Trying to do well on a test, knowing you need to study, but not studying.

Do you think it's because there's always the chance that the advice just SOUNDS good, but actually there's no saying what causes what?

on pimp my ride the US version, the cars are practically falling apart at the start (I know that's the point of the show) but what i want to know is how do these people get away with driving cars in such bad state? here in uk all cars over 3 years old must take an annual MOT test to ensure they are road-worthy. Is there not something similar in the US?

I am not talking about hitting your breaks as hard as you can. Just tapping them until your break lights come on. I have a problem with people following too close. I get very uncomfortable with it. I do just over the speed limit so they have no reason to be that close. I just tap them to let the other driver know to back off. Where I live there are always animals on the road or fallen trees. I don't want to have someone hit me because they don't know how to drive. Why was I told I have to stop hitting my breaks like that?

3 foot of a previously damaged lamp post was left bent at a 45 degree angle witout a cordon, but it had been spray painted yellow.
On leaving the car park i executed a tight left hand turn in which the section of lamp post was in my blind spot, approximatly half way throuhg the manouver my passanger side rear door caught the post and left my car with a heavily dented door and a smashed wheel arch.
I'm wanting to know if there is anyone who knows who is responsible for leaving the lamp post in that condition, and what legal advice is there available

My daughter recently received her driver's permit. I've driven with her a few times and I can't seem to find any information as to whether or not she can drive with another passenger.

For example, if we were to go shopping and if her younger brother (age 9) wants to accompany us, is that legal?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

I am sure it is safely suppose to be 1 inch of rise to 12 inches of run. Not sure what that grade is either, was just trying to compare to see how unsafe this ramp is ?

She received 8 stitches to the head as a result of the accident. A silverado hit her in the front on the passengers side of the vehicle. she has a 2002 saturn 200 series i believe and has both driver and passenger airbags. This not the first accident she has been involved in with this particular car and each accident she had they never deployed. She has been told but a few people that the only time they will deploy is when the frame of the car is hit. Is this true? Or should she have it checked into. Yes she bought the car used.

I am living in UK and want to know if I could bring my wife and 4 kids in normal car. I have a car which has 5 seat belts.

- Can I add one more seat belt in back seat and fit all 4 kids there?

- Does UK driving laws allow me to do this?

- If not, then which 7 seat (MPV) you recommend?

- Please name as many 7 seat models as you can so I will try finding suitable vehicle from autotraders.co.uk.

Thanks.
