Life's at stake. Work's pretty hectic, having to travel frequently on wheels. Any good suggestions to keep oneself awake while driving on roads?

I need some help. My husband and I are in a heated battle over whether or not the kids can be in the front seat. I say NO! He doesn't have a problem with it. (They are 8, 7 and 3...all small for their age.) Yesterday I went outside as my husband was leaving with our daughter (8) in the front seat which had an airbag! I nearly lost it. I stopped the van and told her to get in the back (which made me the "uncool parent". My husband didn't think it was a big deal. He also has been known to "double buckle" our two oldest kids...which means my 7 and 8 year old were buckled with the same seat belt. I hit the ceiling when I found out about this as well. But, once again, hubby didn't see the big deal "at least they're buckled" he said. ARGGG!

I've searched the internet and found lots of warnings....but, I already know about them, that's why I'm concerned. What I need are LAWS or SOMETHING that will get my hubby's attention. Can anyone help me?

I just noticed that the front left tire of my car is nearly flat. The store is about 7 miles from my house. Is it safe for me to drive it there to put air in it? If not, is there something else I can do?

So, maybe I'm being paranoid, but my sister heard someone outside fiddling with our cars and she thought it was my brother (but it wasn't), so we run outside and find nothing. But they were sure they heard someone messing around with the car. What could be? The doors are locked on the car; what could they want? I'm scared maybe they put one of those bombs on the car that explodes when you turn the car on - how do they work? Is there a way to check for that? Where are they planted, what do they look like?

Any ideas? Help please please please! Thanks

These are my tread depths: 4/32, 5/32, 6/32, 8/32.

I guess I need an alignment or rotation? The question is, can I make it on a 1200 mile trip with these tires. I'm going to trade the car in and don't want to spend money on new tires.

I live in Michigan, and guess what? it snowed today. And as usual people were putting their cars into the ditches along I-75. It amazes me that people live in an area where this kind of weaher is common and they still can't manage to drive in it.

before the Castros took over,,,,1959 models and older...the rest of people ride worn out bus transport or hitch hike to and
from where they want to go.(IF THE STATE LETS THEM GO AT ALL....and that's their business if they will let some old dried up cronie rule them like that....), but how they keep those cars going for so long.......that's a wonderment!

I have a step-daughter who is nearly 3 years old, my fella drives a convertable car and thinks that it is ok to drive with the roof down when the weather gets better and his daughter is in the car. I disagree due to polution, the sun and because she is so young.

What do you think?

I am expecting baby no 4 and I was looking at getting a bigger sedan for myself and the kids (hubby is getting the 7 seater). I was hoping 3 kids could sit at the back and my eldest, who's 8 can sit at the front. I believe children shouldnt sit at the front with a car fitted with an airbag.....Can they be removed???

Do all new cars these days have air bags or do some make and models not?

Is there any hazard (life safety hazard) by using fingerprints access scanners. Or all market scanners safe?
Question Details: Many companies now a days are using fingerprints scanners to record attendance and identification of ther employees . I was wondering if there is any violence for life safety or personal in using such machines. Also if all products in the market are safe ?

Hello eveyone!
I'm just wondering if anybody can help me out. I am currently 5 months pregnant and I'm expecting my baby in July. I have a 1997 Jeep TJ and was wondering if anyone knows it is a safe vehicle to drive with a small rear facing infant car seat? The reason I ask is that the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler is a little more narrow then that of a car, also the back seats sit so high up that there is no metal protecting the baby since the window starts right about where the seat is... Anyways if someone knows anything about this or knows where I could find the info I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Today, my family and I drove to a nearby city to shop for groceries. On the way back, my mom started driving recklessly. As I cautioned her to start paying attention to the road otherwise we may get in an accident, my mom did something so RECKLESS, STUPID and LIFE-THREATENING because she was mad at my criticizing her. We were on a two-lane highway with concrete barrages on either side driving at MORE than 60 mph. My mom suddenly swerved the steering wheel to the left. Before the car made contact with the wall, my mom swerved to the right and almost hit the wall before swerving right and left to regain control of the car. We were less than a second away from a fatal accident. She did the whole stunt just to shut me up. I definitely didn't think it was worth the risk. I don't think I did ANYTHING wrong but obviously something is bothering my mom, which is why she's blaming me. I realized one thing today: life is precious. I realized life is too precious to lose. What should I do next?
