Every group has their cool thing to do. Some like to install devices so their car will bounce 6' of the ground. Some like to put gigantic wheels on their car that make it look like a monster truck. Others like to build their engines with turbos or superchargers for mega-horsepower.

It gives them more clearance. Also many think the male appendage will grow in proportion to the size of the truck.

Because it looks really cool when they whip around corners and tip over. Its really cool when the ambulance lights light up the sky like christmas.

because its better off road. the bigger suspension and higher clearence means that if they go off road, they wont damage the underbody. they also do this so you can put on bigger tires which will provide more grip on rocks and mud.
