'Cause some damn idiot liberal wants to control you. They are too cowardly to mess with bikers so they pick on you.

Because the vast majority of drivers on the road are in cars. You get the most bang for you buck by making people wear the seat belt. I live in Ohio and we for the time being have a no helmet law if your over 18. If under 18, you have to wear a helmet. An
I don't wear one every now and then but most of the time I do, I get tired of eating bugs.

GB, bikers must wear helmets by law.
Not wearing a helmet and leathers on a bike or not wearing the seatbelt in a car is just stupidity.
Just because the law doesn't say you have to, doesn't mean you shouldn't.

Instead of whining about it, how's this for an answer:
Every time i am in a vehicle, passenger or not, I wear a seatbelt.
Every time I ride my motorcycle, no matter how short the trip, I wear full gear, i.e. full face helmet, armored jacket, long pants, leather boots, and full finger gloves.
In either case it's up to you, but NO WHINING when you get f-ed up in a crash. I'll pick "Living a Long Time for 500", Alex.

Because more head injuries occur in cars than on bikes.
The truth of the matter is that auto drivers have given that decision to un-elected members of a govt agency that we can't be rid of. Big brother takes your tax money and then tells your state govt they won't give it back unless a seal belt law is passed. Welcome to 1984

a whole lot of states make you wear a helmet.on the other hand states like SOUTH CAROLINA,for example make a whole lot of money during ''bike week''and other events.so they are never going to change their laws, simply because the towns that hold these events would lose a great amount of money.if they passed the law a lot of people would not come and spend their money in the towns.
