I have a '65 mustang with manual brakes (four drums). Obviously it is an outdated system, however I have had almost no problems out of it.

I was having a discussion with an older guy at work, and was mentioning that when I first get in the car, I usually push the brake pedal in, and let it out to get it 'pumped up', so that if I need to stop suddenly while I am driving, I don't have to worry about the pedal dropping to the floor.

He seemed to be convinced that there was some sort of problem with my brake system, although I have changed all four brake cylinders and the master cylinder. None of the brake lines leak, and I have had no problem with brake power. They will lock up easily if I slam on them, but that is true of every car without ABS.

Is he on crack? (he is kind of a weirdo) Or does it sound like I maybe got a defective master cylinder? I constantly have discussions of this sort with this guy, and he usually comes off as a crackpot.

A car audio shop installs an in-dash mobile video player and bypasses a built-in safety lockout feature. As a result the car owner is able to watch movies while driving. He causes an accident which results in the death of a passenger in another vehicle. It is determined that the distraction of the video screen contributed to the accident.

Should the car audio shop have any liability? Should the installer or shop owner face criminal charges?

The only time I park my car in gear is when I am parked on a hill, in reverse when facing down and in first when facing up. Should I always park my car in gear? Why?

I just read online that about an hour ago two local teens from my area were killed by a middle aged drunk driver doing 120 mph, why do people drink and drive when they know that someone, including themselves could end up dead? Is alcohol really worth a life?

...as if your being somewhere is more important than someone's life? I see it everywhere I go, people slamming through a parking lot while on the cell phone or playing with the radio etc, etc, etc. It is not a perception issue either, there is absolutely no way they can stop or even swerve if another car, person, or child moves in front of them. What is it in their brain that says "this is a good idea" ?

My friend has an old pickup that got stuck in reverse. He drove it in reverse going in the correct lane but backwards. He did get to the mechanic's shop and was not stopped by the police. Was just wondering if this is legal or not.

why do people have to sit in the middle lane on our uk motorways!!! its embarrising!!
and so annoying!!!!

and its not safer because it just causes more conjestion because people are trying to over take in the right hand lane!!!

I'm sick of always seeing cars come of a slip road and go STRAIGHT! into the middle lane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its the same on dual carriageways aswell they sit in right hand lane coz they're turning right 18 miles down the road!!!!!!

So basically, this is kinda a girly little thing:
I go tomorrow at 2:45 in the afternoon to take my drivers test.
I've been driving for 9 months and I can parallel park extremely easily, i have no problem with that.
I am just kinda freaking out.
I am making myself sick already and i still have 19 hours before the test!!!

I just need some comforting.

(oh and i have no idea what to wear to take it, I know that sounds redicluious, but clothing ideas would help, but they haveee to be cute!)

If society doesn't want people to speed, why do they make cars that go over the speed limits?

I think I was flashed by a speed camera on a motorway contraflow with a speed limit of 50mph, but when I looked at my sat nav it said I was travelling at 50mph and the speedo said 55mph. Which one should I rely on?

ok so i went to take this stupid drivers test today, and i missed the question on what your supposed to do when you speed up. I read the little booklet thing like 5 times, and no where in that book does it say. My options that actually made sense were put both hands on the wheel OR look further into the distance on the road.

what would the correct answer be

they told me to read this certain page in the book to get the answer, BUT ITS NOT THERE. can anyone help me
