Check into the Chevy Impala. I know at least one of our sales cars has that option.

Seat Leon and it's sister cars I think - Golf, Audi A3, Skoda Octavia - they're all the same car underneath. Seat looks the coolest for my money. Given what you've been loking at you should get one of those 3-4 years old in your budget and all come with a 4 or 5 door option. My mum has a Seat Ibiza (Clio size) and you can turn the airbag of in that (slot for key in glovebox). You can in a Fiat Multipla as well (I have one of those and 3 kids.) Good luck, and congrats on the new arrival.

Presuming you don't have more babies in the car; baby's safest place is in the back seat opposite the driver facing rear-ward. Go to the Fire Brigade or Rescue depts. for certification on the safest placement for your child.
