Sure you have a right to refuse! But then again, as other have stated, they probably have the right to replace you too.
On the other hand, document your situation, and provide a copy of your information and request to your supervisor. Then you may want to politely remind your supervisor that if you get into an accident and you are injured due to safety equipment being missing or non-functional, the company can be held liable. If, God forbid, you are killed, make sure your family also has a copy. They could wind up owning the company. (Not much comfort to you, but the employer will figure this out for themselves if they are smart.)
Make sure you do this professionally with your employers or they may replace you anyway.
Good Luck.

I agree with the first answer...
about the second answer..
airbags do save lives.. Yes, you may bet a broke nose or a few broken ribs but you will be alive.
But you would have to get into a head on collision for the airbag to work anyway.
Most big vans and trucks like that do not come with airbags though because it is safer sometimes without them..
And if you're buckled then you are less likely to get hurt than the other car...

If the vehicle was factory equipped with an airbag, you have every right to refuse to drive it.
If it was not, you'd better start looking for another job. You can't ask an employer to install a piece of safety equipment that a vehicle isn't DESIGNED to have. And an airbag isn't an adder to put on a vehicle like window tint.

Yes you can do that. Your employer can also terminate you for refusing an assignment. You will lose in court, because it is common for people to be driving these types of vehicles safely on the road.

If you wear seat belts air bags add little to your overall safety, the exception being side air bags. If you don't wear seat belts then you should not gripe about safety equipment.
