for those of you who have been in a car accident, before you got into one, did you have a feeling that something was about to happen?

I think that when a person reaches a certain age *meaning the elder*, they should have to take a driving test.... what are your thoughts?

something i know everyone does but not sure if its technically "legal"
in US

let's say that we are on a road with one lane going each way with double solid yellow line and the speed limit is like 40mph

there is a slow like construction vehicle going about 10-15 mph and a car of some sort with its hazards on driving the same speed behind him

now I obviously don't want to stay behind him since he is going so slow...am i allowed to pass...cross the double yellow line...providing there is no oncoming traffic on the other lane? like..if there were a cop behind me, would it be okay for me to pass someone going this slow even though there is a double yellow line?

They are always building new roads and parking lots and they have accomadations for the handicapped but for those who walk, it is a nightmare. The sidewalks are a mess if they even exist, often overgrown with weeds. On the construction sites they completely destroy the sidewalks and I find myself walking out in the street half the time and the drivers aren't very considerate as I guess they expect me to walk in the ditch and mud. Today I have to go get a new ID and will have to walk a mile and half to the dps office because no bus runs anywhere near it. My other option is to go across town to another one where I would have to cross 6 lanes of traffic on the highway and walk 4 blocks. It is ridiculous in a city as big as mine. Bus shelters are few and with the hot weather in the summer, it isn't very pleasant. They spend millions on sports stadiums for a bunch of losing teams but can't maintain the walkways. I know drivers don't care as they sit on their butts.

Speeding is usually due to lapse of consentration, a simple sensor which activates a request to slow down would be much more effective.
I am a grandfather and the thought of injuring our killing someone is totallly abhorent.
Everyone agrees that safety is of the utmost importance, the fact that just two cameras can generate 1.2 million pounds in one month in obscene.
P.s I'm not trying to be cool I'm trying to be fair.
If they are so effective why do they generate so much money?

It could have been just teenagers (I am driving a brand new very expensive car (not mine! it's my brother in law's)) & I this bright yellow SUV followed home. He turned down this residential street and I purposefully went by my house & went around the loop again (and he followed me for 4 turns). So I sped up & lost him. But it was strange because if he was really going this way, he took a whole loop around (long way) for no reason.

Next day, I was at a shopping mall & no one was on either side of me. I come out 5 min. later and the same or very similar bright yellow SUV was parked RIGHT next to me (although there were plenty of spaces) & a young sort of normal looking guy was sitting in it talking on cell.

The neighborhood I live in couldn't be more crime free (I don't think there has been a serious crime here ever) and there are a lot of fancy expensive cars around....so what do you think?

This was all at daytime. I can't see that I'm in any danger, but isn't it weird?

I have a 1997 Taurus and I am concerned that the dome light that comes on when yoru open the door does not go off when you close the door, and a warning lamp on the dashboard indicates that I have left a door open. I have checked all four doors and found them to be securely closed. Why won't this dang indicator shut off so that the dome light will go out? I heard that there is wiring in the trunk that can become severed which would result in this problem. Can someone fill me in?
