She pulls in and cannot judge the distance well. Hanging the tennis ball to touch the windshield didn't work, and putting in a concrete curb may not work. Maybe some kind of light like a traffic light for the garage? HELPPPPPPP

I work in a bad area, my car was broken into today. I don't have an alarm system, and I can't afford one. What can I do to make my car unappealing to thieves? How likely is it to happen again? (And please, no smart a ss answers. I'm not from the city and really don't know. Where I live most people don't even lock their cars.)

Why do many artic drivers insist on tailgating to the point of stupidity?
I am a hgv driver and I am apauled at what I see for proffesional drivers, bear in mind they can have 20-30tons on the back pushing them, I see trucks travelling at maximum speed and you couldnt fit a mini in the gap they create...if the truck in front stops you can bet the guy who hits him is going to kill himself..
I think these idiots should be treated like criminals and be given an automatic 6 points...does anybody agree, and before somebody says they have to keep the revs up, what is a few revs compared to death.

Clearly, some people NEED to use this form of communication while driving. Police, delivery people, salesmen, etc.

How about this idea? In order to be able to use your cell phone while driving, you are required to take a two or three day course, including hands-on skills, then receive an extra notation on your driver's license, and perhaps a sticker for the window of your car. Also, insurance rates go up. Anyone who wants to talk on the cellphone would be required to cough up the money to take it. Would also be a new industry, much like the defensive driving industry.

There is nothing that irritates me so much as to see some airbrain on the phone, driving ten miles under the speed limit in the left hand highway lane.

After 09/11, does it make sense to allow 'rich guy' mosquitocraft to fly around in our cities? Don't crashes like Lidle's make the case for cancelling aircraft access to urban areas?

I know we're goring some pretty important oxen here to even ask the question. It's almost like complaining about golf courses during a drought. But the safety and well-being of the millions of city dwellers should outweigh the convenience and sightseeing desires of a few rich guys, don'tcha think?

My driveway is at a downward slope. When ever i have to back out it is fairly difficult to make sure that everything is clear behind me
since the back of my car is facing upwards. I was ready to back out early yesterday I checked all my mirrors looked back and everything looked clear as i slowly hit the gas and my back tires hit
the leveled ( no longer sloped) sidewalk I heard a honk I hit the
breaks but It was too late. I hit a car with the left corner of my rear bumber. The other persons car was hit above her front right wheel. SHE WAS PARKED ILLEGALY in my driveway. She was at an angle also which made it very hard to spot her. Am I fully responsible??

They put so much on seat belts in your car, but yet they don't provide any on the metro trains or buses. It just seems like your defeating the purpose to me.

I know the law says(florida btw) whoever does the hitting is at fault. You shouldnt rearend anyone bc you shouldnt be close BUT what if someone cuts you right off and hits their brakes? Or what if someone runs a red light and you hit them and other situations like this wher you clearly couldnnt prevent the accident? Are you still at fault for hitting them?
What if someone(on foot) runs in front of your car and you hit them will this be criminal?

My mom was in a car accident recently. She has a 2005 Chrysler 300. I'm not sure how many but it does have more than 2 airbags. This accident totaled the front passenger side of the vehicle. None of the airbags popped out. I thought she would be able to sue because of the malfunction. This is not just to get paid my mother was seriously injured, and could have broke her neck from the impact. Actually these were the doctors words. She seems to be under the impression that an accident has to happen on the side of the car for the airbags to pop out on that side. That doesn't make since to me.

Here's the situation (i've never had this happen before):

We were at a 6 way intersection (with lights). Our light was green, but an officer had his sirens on flying to an emergency, so the car in front of me stopped short. I stopped short too. The girl behind me couldn't stop in time and caused some damage to the tailight and the bumper. The police came and I filed the report and everything....what happens now? Should I still call my insurance company or should I wait and see if the other driver will pay since it was their fault?

I'm thinking of buying one, but need a car I can drive in the winter. Don't want to crash it, I'm an excellent driver, but when there's ice, there's not much control.... in New Hampshire.

The Way Children See Things,
I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, "Dad! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!"
