I have just never seen any young people drive them and they are huge. What do ya think. Yes, he is a responsible young man, and our son, but he has never driven one.

I would suggest that he gets the feel of it, on short local trips, to get used to the way it rides, steers, corners, brakes etc. Don't let him loose on the freeway at 70 mph, without having had the practise.

Here in Minnesota you can drive any size loaded school bus at 21 with proper licensing, and they are much bigger than most motor homes with a (forgive me for this) much more valuable cargo. A lot of college kids drive buses in order to earn extra money. Teach him well and give him lots of practice in tight areas, gas stations after hours, parking lots are great areas to practice backing, etc. I started at a young age and 25 years later, no accidents yet. By the way, no special license is needed here to operate a motor home. People with no experience in anything bigger than a Yugo can drive one.

I am 23 years old and at the age of 21 I had my class A license with hazard waste endorsement's. What I'm trying to get at is if he is a safe and responsible driver with a regular vehicle. Size really doesn't matter safety does.

I kid you not, but at night I once followed a very large articulated truck across Scotland; being driven superbly.

It was an Irish registered truck (what else?), and when it pulled up at a garage and I pulled up behind it, a lad of about 15 climbed out from the driver's seat!

I had to chuckle, because he was totally in control of a very large outfit; illegal though it may have been.

When I spoke to the lad, he told me that his dad had sprained his wrist at the docks!

Naughty boy! Naughty dad!

The way he drove, I guess he had done it before!

if he is capable of driving i don,t see why not.what do you the parent think of him driving the car?does he drive safly?I see no reason why he couldn,t ,just because you haven,t seen any other younger drivers doesn,t mean he can,t or would not be safe!they are big, just take him to a spot thats open to let him get a feel of how it handles, the brakes etc..it is insured right?let him try,you may be giving him job oppertunity,s if he likes driving.
