when your getting tailgated you push up on the next car being nervous, and push up so you can move over to change lanes? Thanks.

But I am saying this is the situation. You are on the highway. In the right lane. All of sudden as you drive down. A car rides your bumper. Your nervous, and ride up on the car in front of you. An you see an opening two cars up. Trying to rush up to move in. While tailgating the car in front of you. OR your being tailgated. An you come to a light, and it turns yellow right as you approach. An your afraid you'll be hit. You run the light. Does anyone do this? I do it a lot. I always feel nervous since the incident I had on the road a couple of months ago, and do this a lot.

if your being tailgated and feel unsafe about stopping distances leave more space between you and the car ahead. this will allow you the appropriate amount of time to react for yourslf and the vehical behind> but beware, tooo much space means someone else might jump in!

I hate it when people do that. And I had to go on meds to be able
to get into a car again after a bad experience! But I've seen
other people do this: they hit the hazard lights. They've always pulled back. I just go on my merry way and let them overtake
me... love it when its in a "no passing" zone... there's almost always a cop up ahead :D. A sweet justice!
Once a long while back a guy I knew who was a
volunteer EMT had one of those flashers. He turned it on
and suddenly everyone around was a nice driver :P.

No. I guess I'm not like you. Driving like the idiot that makes you nervous is not the way to go. If you don't like being tailgated, why in the world would you do it to someone else? And by doing it at the same time, you just boxed yourself in.

you should not do that at a light if you have a car tailgating you and you are approching a light that is going to change and the car behind you hits you because you stoped for the light like you should they are at fault not you so no matter what dammage is done it is there fault. you should never tailgate somone because if you hit them it is your fault it is a bad habit to get into

If someone tailgates ME, he can COUNT on me slowly slowing down until HE passes. Tailgating is VERY childish and dangerous. Only pushy, impatient drivers do it.

most times I slow down let him pass or I pull hand brake so tail lights don't come on and watch him squirm
