It really depends on the 16 year old...everyone is different...some are mature enough at 16 and some aren't.

I don't want to seem like a jerk, but most are not. I know I made a lot of bad choices on the road when I was that age. With experience you become a much better driver. But even a 30 year old who is just learning to drive is probably just as bad.

I know I sure the heck wasnt, I backed into someone only weeks after getting my license. Teens now a days here in Virginia have to be 16 and 4 months. Dont really know what difference that makes, but hey we all have to learn sometime.

NOPE.....at least that is how I feel about my 16 yr old. Have you checked into how much it costs for insuring that 16 yr old?...if not make sure you are sitting down when your agent tells you!
